LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena Women's Basketball junior forward Lily Grenci has been named the MAAC Player of the Week. The Mars, Pa. native posted career-highs of 23 points and 18 rebounds in the Saints' game Friday at North Carolina A&T.
Grenci shot 9-16 from the field and added three steals. Additionally, 10 of her 18 rebounds came off the offensive glass. Amazingly, she amassed all of these numbers in just 26 minutes of action.
Grenci has gotten off to a tremendous start this year for the Saints and currently ranks second in the MAAC in scoring (17.0) and field goal percentage (54.2%) and is tied for third in rebounding (8.0).
Grenci and the Saints return to the hardwood Saturday at the Times Union Center when they battle crosstown rival UAlbany at 4 p.m.
