NEW BRITAIN, CT. - Siena looks to snap a three-game losing streak and remain unbeaten all-time here at Detrick Gym when they face off with Central Connecticut at high noon. Gameday Central coverage begins right here at SienaSaints.com at 11:30 a.m.
Siena (1-5) won both of their meetings in the mid-90's here against Central Connecticut (5-2) and was on its way to a 4-0 mark in the all-time series last season before things changed late. The Saints were up a point with two free throws upcoming and possession of the ball following an intentional foul with 20 seconds remaining in regulation, but could not salt away the game.
The Blue Devils forced overtime and scored the first seven points of the session, handing Siena a heartbreaking defeat.
Siena will once again look to its tri-captains today as it looks to move to a perfect 3-0 all-time here in New Britain. Lily Grenci, Cristina Centeno and Maja Gerlyng have been the team's top three scorers this season and account for 39.5 points per game.
