LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Following the finest performance of her brief but already impressive collegiate career, Siena Women's Basketball freshman guard Tehresa Coles was honored by the MAAC Wednesday. Coles has been named the MAAC Co-Rookie of the Week, sharing the award with Marist's Natalie Gomez.

Making her first career start Dec. 21 vs. UMass, the Loudonville native and former Colonie Central star posted career highs in almost every category. She scored 11 points, while adding six rebounds and four steals and tied a season-high with three assists against the Minutewomen.

Coles has come on strong of late, averaging 7.3 points and 3.7 rebounds the past three games. Coles is the first Saint to earn MAAC Rookie of the Week honors in seven seasons.

Coles and the Saints close out non-conference action and the 2011 calendar year Thursday night at 6 p.m. when they travel to the University of Maine.
