#16 UAlbany ran the program's all-time record against Siena to 17-0 with Wednesday's 8-0 win over the Saints at Siena Turf Field. Siena was outshot 47-2 on the afternoon, and remains winless on the 2011 season.
Siena (0-8) stayed in the game for a while, as goalkeeper Beth Meyers was once again peppered with shots for 70 minutes. The score was 2-0 into the 33rd minute, but the Great Danes (6-3) found the back of the net four times in the next 15 minutes to break the game open. Meyers finished with 20 saves, tying a career-high.
Senior Jenn Reich had Siena's lone shot on goal. Meanwhile, sophomore Gabi Ferraro had a shot blocked late in the second half.
The Saints go on the road this weekend, traveling to Vermont on Saturday for a 1 p.m. tilt.
