Siena freshman guard Tehresa Coles said she would probably crochet on the team bus when the Saints traveled to Springfield, Mass., on Wednesday afternoon.
It's a hobby she picked up in arts and crafts class when she attended Colonie High School.
"When she's nervous, she crochets a lot," Siena head coach Gina Castelli said. "She's good at it. She knitted a couple of hats for the girls. She did a beautiful pink hat for a raffle for the Pink Zone game (for breast cancer awareness)."
Maybe Coles will weave a championship banner if Siena wins the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Tournament, beginning with a quarterfinal game against Manhattan at 11:30 a.m. Friday in the MassMutual Center in Springfield.
