Final Stats
The Siena women's tennis team played its first of four matches in the USPTR Spring Tennisfest Monday afternoon in Hilton Head, S.C., falling 7-0 to Gardner Webb.
"We got slapped in the face today," head coach Andy Christodoulou said. "We just have to keep positive, break out of this slump, and get our confidence back."
The Runnin' Bulldugs won all six singles matches in straight sets, and swept the doubles competition. In fact, no Siena player scored more than three points in a set, which ace Jasleen Sandhu did twice in her 6-3, 6-3 loss to Erica White.
The Saints return to action tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m. against Savannah State at the Evian Tennis Club in Shipyard.
