Women's Tennis Adds Erika Reagan

May 12, 2012

Erika Reagan has signed paperwork confirming her commitment to attend Siena beginning in the fall. Reagan joins a class that includes Allysa Singh (Phoenix, Ariz.) and Maria Varano (Kennebunk, Maine), who each inked National Letters of Intent in November.

"Erika is an outstanding addition to our program," head women's tennis coach Andy Christodoulou said. "She excelled throughout her junior career with strong results in her high school and USTA, and she brings a very motivated work ethic. Her personality was a perfect fit with the team, coaching staff and school from the very beginning. This young lady has incredible qualities on and off the court and exemplifies Siena's Franciscan values. In addition, Erika is a presidential scholar. We are excited to welcome her to the program, and look forward to her beginning her career here in September."

Reagan (Mount Laurel, N.J.) is a member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish National Honor Society. She participates in a variety of volunteer projects that help the less fortunate, including: serving as a tutor for HOPE Tutoring, cooking and delivering food to home-bound community members, and participating in the Homeless Project at Bishop Eustace High School where she goes to school.

On the court Erika received All-Conference, All-Non Public, All-South Jersey awards as well as her team's MVP award. She qualified for the state tournament during her freshman and senior year, and served as team captain as a senior.

Reagan is currently ranked 76th in the USTA Middle Section and has been playing USTA junior tournaments since 2004. In 2011, Erika represented the Middle States section at World Team Tennis Junior Nationals.

When not playing tennis, studying or giving back to the community, Reagan likes enjoys skiing.

Reagan is the daughter of Charles and Christa, and has two younger siblings, Brett and Carly.
