Final Stats

The Siena women's tennis team started MAAC play on a winning note Saturday, drilling Rider 7-0 in a match moved indoors due to rain. Carly Holloway won 6-1 and 6-2 at top singles and teamed with freshman Allysa Singh for an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles.

"I am very proud of our team today," head coach Andy Christodoulou said. "Any time you get a conference win it is a good day. Everyone played superb, and we accomplished all of our goals today."

Singh blanked Alex Manforti 6-0 and 6-0 at No. 3 singles, one of three matches Siena (2-0, 1-0) did not allow a point. Sophomroe Cassandra Barz and freshman Erika Reagan each won by 6-0 and 6-0 scores at No. 5 and No. 6 singles. Brittany Filip posted an impressive 6-1 and 6-2 win at No. 4 singles and Jessica Macaluso won by default at No. 2 singles.

The Saints return to action Wednesday at Hartford in their final dual match of the fall season.
