Final Results
The men's golf team bounced back nicely in the second day of the Lehigh Invitational to move up three spots and finished in fourth after shooting a 304. Michael Shine led the Saints shooting a 74 and finished tied for sixth.
"We had the low round of the tournament today, a 304, led by Mike Shine's 74," said Tom Wronowski. "We jumped from seventh to fourth today. It is a very positive way to end our fall season."
The Saints' 304 was a the best score of the two-day tournament and the overall improved play in day-two by the entire team allowed Siena to jump out of last place and finish fourth.
Michael Shine improved on his play, shooting a team low 74 to finish tied for sixth. Three Saints shot a minimum of 10-strokes less on their day one scores, a major reason why Siena was able to jump three spots in the standings.
Brendan Quintana shot a 78 in day-two, 11-strokes better than Sunday afternoon. Scott Kim and Spencer Sautin beat their day one scores by 10-strokes. As a team, the Saints day-two score was 32-strokes less after shooting a 336 in day-one.
Riley McGraw finished the Tournament in the 33rd position after a consistent round, shooting an 82.
Rutgers University won the overall team medal and Doug Walters (Rutgers) was the top medalist, shooting a 74 and 76, respectively.
The Saints finished their fall season strong, posting their best scores at the Lehigh Invitational and will continue to build on their momentum and bring their tremendous play into the spring season.
