Final Stats

The top three singles matches all went three sets and doubles play was hotly contested too, but Colgate broke free for a 6-1 win over Siena Sunday in Hamilton. Brittany Filip won a thrilling match over Kelsey Shea at top singles for Siena's only point in the match.

Filip dropped the first set 6-2, but rallied to win the next two 6-4 and 6-4. At No. 2 and No. 3 singles, Maria Varano and Jessica Macaluso each won the first set, but dropped the next two.

Varano also teamed with classmate Erika Reagan in a hard fought 9-8 (0) loss at No. 2 doubles.

The Saints open the spring portion of their MAAC schedule Saturday at Niagara.
