Three of the six singles matches went three sets, and the Saints won two of those contests in a key four and a half hour 5-2 MAAC win over Manhattan Tuesday at Schenectady's Central Park.
Maria Varano won an exciting three-set match in a tiebreaker to highlight Siena's (7-7) win.
"The team really persevered through a long and tough conference match today," Varano said. "It was a good boost to our confidence."
Sophomores Jessica Macaluso and Cassandra Braz held fourth and fifth singles in convincing straight sets, and Erika Reagan rallied for a three-set win at No. 6 singles as the Saints' underclassmen came through huge.
Siena seized the doubles point with 8-2 victories at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.
