For the second time in four days the Siena volleyball team posted a 3-0 (25-21, 25-13, and 25-20) MAAC sweep of Quinnipiac Wednesday night in the ARC. The Saints have won five straight matches and enter their showdown with conference favorite Marist Saturday in Poughkeepsie on level terms with the Red Foxes at 6-1 in the MAAC.

Meghann Wright and Sonja Vasovic each had nine kills for the Saints (8-10, 6-1), Rachel Stoklosa had eight, and Jacqueline Skeen added seven. Setter Haley Howell kept everyone involved, finishing with 32 assists and leading a Siena offense that hit a season-high .301 for the match and an unworldly .526 in the second set.

MAAC and ECAC Libero of the Week Bobbi Lin Kalama led all players with 15 digs and had all three of the Saints' aces.

Quinnipiac (2-16, 0-6) got nine kills and seven digs from Tanner Celesten but was victimized by 24 attack errors, eight service errors and five blocking errors.

Siena trailed 19-17 in the first set when Wright led a 6-0 run with her hard floating service, turning the tide of the set and match. Siena won the set 25-21 and then dominated the second set 25-13. In the second set, Wright served a 7-0 run that included a monster kill by Stoklosa who played with great energy and confidence all night.

Howell served the Saints to an 8-1 lead in the third set, but Quinnipiac rallied to make things interesting late. The Bobcats closed to within 21-20 before Kalama served out the match.

Siena and Marist are behind undefeated Rider in the MAAC standings. After Saturday's match, the Saints return to Loudonville to start a seven-match homestand Tuesday night against Hartford.
