Final Stats

Freshman Ali Garrity continued her impressive rookie campaign with a three-set win at No. 2 singles, but Army won the other five contests and swept doubles play to post a 6-1 win over the Saints Sunday at West Point.

"Playing Army is a real treat," head coach Andy Christodoulou said. "The place gets loud and each point is a grind. The ladies performance was very well."

Army grabbed a 1-0 lead with victories in three hotly contested doubles matches. Jamila Paul then got the Black Knights off to a fast start by sweeping top singles, but Siena got strong performances by its freshmen. Garrity won 3-6, 7-5 and 10-7 over Della Taylor and Mitsuki Fukamachi dropped a tough super tie-breaker 7-6 (8), 0-6 and 10-8.

The Saints host Colgate Friday at 1 p.m.
