Spencer Sautin finished the Colgate Invitational tied for fifth, rising eight spots in the final round of competition. As a team the Saints dropped two spots to finish the invitational in 10th place.
Sautin, who lowered his score each round of the invitational, shot an even par on the day, including 5 birdies. He finished six strokes ahead of the next closest MAAC competitor. Scott Kim also lowered his score in the final round, earning him a top-40 finish. Kim had two birdies in the final round.
As a team Siena slid two spots finishing 10th, one stroke behind MAAC foe Niagara. The Saints finished one stroke ahead of Canisius, whom they were tied with going into the final round, while fellow MAAC member Rider finished 13th.
Siena is back in action September 20th and 21st as they travel to Ithaca, N.Y. to participate in the Cornell Invitational at Robert Trent Jones Golf Course.
