March 10, 2015 The Siena Men's Golf team slid four spots down the team leaderboard to finish the Lonnie Barton Invitational eighth, despite shooting one stroke better in the second round. Scott Kim led the Saints finishing tied for fifth.
Kim shot four birdies over the two rounds, which was good for fourth among all individuals. Michael Parrottino finished five strokes behind Kim, and sunk 20 pars in the Invitational good for fifth among all golfers. Michael Shine and Brendan Quintana both finished tied for 37th, rounding out the Saints' top golfers.
Siena was tied for fourth after one day of competition but slipped four spots, despite a second round score that was one stroke better than their first round score. MAAC foe Fairfield, whom the Saints were tied with after round one, finished tied for fifth. They were the only other MAAC school participating. Long Island took the team crown with a six-stroke lead over second place St. Francis (Pa.).
The Saints are back in action March 28th & 29th in the Whiting-Turner Invitational in Grasonville, Md.
