Merrimack won five of six singles matches and two of three doubles contests to post a 7-2 (6-1) win over Siena Sunday in a non-league match at the Northeast Tennis Center in Middleton, Mass. Allysa Singh stayed hot with a 6-4 and 6-2 win at No. 3 singles for the Saints.
Rina Sakai teamed with Cassandra Braz for a 9-7 victory at No. 2 doubles for Siena's (6-6, 2-0) other point.
Merrimack won the top two singles matches in three sets, with Sakai losing at No. 2 singles in a super tiebreaker.
Siena defaulted No. 5 and No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles due to injuries.
The Saints hope to be healthy when they take the court Saturday to face Sacred Heart.
