Final Stats

The Siena women's tennis team dropped another tough 4-3 decision Saturday, losing at Sacred Heart. The doubles point proved critical, as the Pioneers won all three contests and then held on by splitting the six singles contests.

Siena won the top three singles contests with Ali Garrity taking down Katie DeRienzo 6-1 and 7-5 at top singles, Rina Sakai besting Paige Olson 6-2 and 7-5 at No. 2 singles and Allysa Singh staying hot with a 6-1 and 6-3 victory at No. 3 singles.

Lindsey Post sealed the victory for Sacred Heart with a 6-3 and 6-3 victory at fourth singles. Taylor Gurda and Sabrina Navarro Lopez each were victorious in straight fashion as well, losing just three games each, allowing Post's victory to clinch the win.

The Saints were again playing without freshman Julia Dunbar (11-1 on season). They've lost seven of eight matches after starting the year 5-0. Siena plays a key conference match at Marist Thursday.
