Quinnipiac made Siena's road to the MAAC Tournament that much tougher Sunday, posting a 7-0 sweep in Hamden. The Saints fall to 3-3 in conference play with MAAC matches at Fairfield and home against Monmouth remaining on the schedule.
The Bobcats (9-7, 5-0) set the stage for the victory with a 3-0 sweep of the doubles point. The tightest match of the entire day came at top doubles where Siena's (7-10, 3-3) Mitsuki Fukamachi and Ali Garrity each put up a game fight against Michelle Dassa and Jacqueline Raynor before losing 8-7 (4).
Julia Dunbar was the only Saint to win a set in singles play, taking the first set 6-4 before falling 10-5 in a super tiebreaker against Ariana Launie.
Allysa Singh saw her nine-match win streak come to an end with a 6-0 and 6-2 setback against Sydney Young at No. 3 singles.
Siena travels back to the Nutmeg State to take on the Stags Saturday at 1 p.m.
