Final Stats

Marist began the match by winning two of three doubles contests and that proved to be the difference in a 4-3 victory over Siena in a huge MAAC contest Thursday afternoon in Poughkeepsie. Rina Sakai, Allysa Singh and Mitsuki Fukamachi each picked up singles victories for the Saints.

Karly Pang topped Ali Garrity 6-3 and 6-0 at top singles and teamed with Claire Schmitz for an 8-4 win at top doubles for Marist.

Sakai, Singh, and Fukamachi held down singles spots 2-4, but Callie Morlock and Elizabeth Brozovich won in straight sets at No. 5 and No. 6 singles for Marist.

Julia Dunbar returned to the rotation at No. 6 singles for Siena, but she lost for just the second time in 11 matches. The Saints have stumbled, losing eight of their last nine contests after starting the season 5-0.

Siena returns home next weekend to play Niagara and Saint Peter's.
