Kim, Saints Finished Tied for Fifth In MAAC Championships

The Siena Golf team and finished the 2015 MAAC Championships tied for fifth, and their lead golfer Scott Kim finished the Championships tied for fifth as well. Michael Shine also earned a top-10 finish for the Saints finishing tied for eighth.

The Saints kept a death grip on the number five spot, as they sat in it following each round of play. Rider moved up one spot to tie Siena, while they both finished 11 strokes behind fourth placed Monmouth and nine strokes ahead of seventh place Manhattan.

Kim shot the third best score of the third round among the top five finishers, but slid one spot after being tied for fourth coming into the day. Michael Shine slid one spot as well but still earned a top-10 finish, finishing tied for 8th. Brendan Quintana rounded out the Saints' top-three finishing tied for 25th after shooting the same score in all three rounds.

Saint Peter's won the Championship by nine strokes over Iona. Kevin Kramarski of Iona defeated Nicholas Dilio of Saint Peter's in a one-hole playoff to take the individual crown.

The Saints were picked to finish fifth in the MAAC in the preseason coaches' poll. Their roster graduates four seniors as they look to improve their MAACs finish for the third year in a row next season.
