Sept. 27, 2015 Final Stats
The Hoyas used one goal per half as Georgetown defeated Siena Field Hockey 2-0 at Multi-Sport Field. Mary Drabich led the Saints with one save in 59 minutes of action. Danielle DeGroot closed out the final 11 minutes in between the pipes for the Saints.
Georgetown (5-4) outshot the Saints while also holding a 7-3 advantage in corners. Siena (1-8) held the advantage in saves.
The Hoyas got on the board (15') when Helena Masiello scored an unassisted goal in the right corner. The score would remain 1-0 until Georgetown would add another when Megan Parsons received a pass from Sarah Butterfield off a corner and she would put it in the back of the net (54').
Goalkeeper Rachel Skonecki recorded her fifth win on the year for Georgetown.
The Saints return to action Sun. Oct. 4 when they travel to Bethlehem, Pa. to play Lehigh. The game is scheduled to begin at noon.
