Feb. 14, 2016 The Siena swimming and diving team finished the MAAC Championships in fifth place after the team was projected to finish fourth in the Preseason Coaches' Poll.
In the first event of day four, freshman Emma Rupert finished ninth in the 1650 Free in a time of 17:58.93. Megan Grace was the next Saint to finish the event (14th, 18:28.28).
The 200 Back featured another record-breaking performance by Theresa Cotter. She finished second in a time of 2:03.25, besting her previous time of 2:03.91, set back at the ECAC Championships.
Freshman Maggie Davenport led the Saints in the 100 Free B Final finishing fifth in a time of 54.02.
Once again Erica Askew led Siena in the Breastroke events finishing fifth in the 200 Breast in a time 2:24.52.
In the final individual event of the championships, Julianna Sebastian posted a 2:09.96 and was the first Saint to finish the 200 Fly in the A Final. In the B Final, Emily Carideo finished first and Maggie Fletcher finished two spots behind her.
