Sarah Croutier registered four goals and one assist for five points as the Siena women's lacrosse closed out their Georgia road trip with a 12-7 victory over Kennesaw State.
Freshman Lynzee Miller continued her torrid start to her career as she added a hat trick and Lauren Smith recorded a hat trick as well. Briana Sirianni and Lauren Anglim scored a goal apiece to close out the Saints' scoring.
Siena outshot Kennesaw 36-22, which included a margin of seven in each half. The Saints edged the Owls in groundballs by a margin of 19-9.
The Saints wasted little time getting on the scoreboard when just 1:07 into the game when Smith scored to give the Saints a 1-0 margin. Kennesaw State answered the call with a goal of their own nearly five minutes later.
Siena went on a 7-2 run between the seventh minute of the first half and 18th minute in the second half. he Saints were fueled by two goals each from Croutier and Smith and single tallies from Anglim, Miller and Sirianni.
Two second half goals from Crotier and Miller helped the Saints distance themselves from the Owls. Kennesaw State added two goals late to make the final score 12-7. Samantha Horton recorded nine saves in goal for the Saints.
Siena returns to action on Wednesday March 2nd when the Saints travel to Lowell, Mass. to play UMass Lowell at 3 p.m
