Day One Results

The Siena men's golf team teed off their first event of the spring Friday when they played the first round of the Pinehurst Intercollegiate in Pinehurst, N.C. The team finds themselves in 10th place.

Xavier leads the field after a four-over par team score. Elon is four strokes behind the Musketeers. Austin Peay, Marshall (T4), Belmont (T4) and Ball State had the top five team scores after day one.

Michael Shine shot the low score on the day for Siena, carding an opening round 77 on the par 71 course. Scott Kim and Michael Christifulli recorded identical scores of 79 to rank second on the team scorecard.

Spencer Sautin, Jack Bellardini and Brendan Quintana closed out the scoring for the Saints.

Siena takes on Pinehurst once again tomorrow when the team plays day two of the tournament.
