March 28, 2016 Day One Results
The Siena men's golf team is in 11th place, two strokes back of 10th place Lehigh. The Saints are the highest placed MAAC team in the field. Iona is tied for 13th, Monmouth and Saint Peter's are tied at 17th while Manhattan (20) and Rider (21) round out the conference teams in the tournament field.
In the MAAC Preseason Poll, the Saints were predicted to finish tied with Iona and one place behind Saint Peter's, two teams in which Siena leads after round one of the tournament.
Scott Kim and Michael Christifulli shot identical rounds of 75. Michael Shine was one stroke behind with a 76 while Spencer Sautin and Matthew Parrottino closed out the scoring with rounds of 79 and 80, respectively.
Wagner is at the top of the leaderboard with a team score of five-over par. La Salle, Delaware and Bucknell are all tied in second while Villanova and Binghamton round out the top five after the first day.
The Saints take to the course Tuesday to play the final round of the Wildcat Invitational.
