Siena women's tennis traveled to rival UAlbany Tuesday afternoon and was handed a 7-0 loss by the Great Danes. UAlbany captured the doubles points after the home team won all three doubles matches. The closest match of the day at the third position when Ann Phillips and Erika Reagan were bested in a tiebreak, 7-6 (3).
In singles play, five of the six matches were decided in straight sets with the exception of the top spot. Ali Garrity took the first set at number one singles, 6-4, dropped the second set 6-1 and then was edged 10-8 in a third set super tiebreak.
The Saints begin a four match homestand Saturday with a pivotal MAAC battle with Fairfield at Watervliet High School at noon.
