Final Stats

The Marist women's tennis team took two doubles matches and then took the singles points at number one, five and six to clinch the match over Siena and advance to the MAAC Championship Title Match. Mitsuki Fukamachi recorded Siena's lone point of the afternoon with her 6-2, 6-4 straight set victory at number three.

The Red Foxes earned the doubles point and entered singles play with a 1-0 advantage with a 6-4 victory at number two. The Marist team of Caroline Lozo and Ariel Shulman edged Allysa Singh and Natalie Weaver by a final of 6-4. The first doubles team of Ali Garrity and Fukamachi dropped a tight match at one, falling in a tiebreak (7-6 (7-5)). The third doubles team of Rina Sakai and Julia Dunbar secured a 6-1 victory.

Siena went on to win one of the six singles matches. Fukamachi won her 12th match of the season with her victory at number three. Karlene Pang won at number one singles of the Red Foxes, while victories at five and six singles clinched the match for Marist. Singh and Shulman split sets in their battle at number four and were tied at one game apiece when the match was clinched. Two matches went unfinished.

The Saints will look to build off one of the most successful years in recent memory as they prepare to return to the courts in the fall.
