Saints in 14th After Round One of NCAA Regionals

In the program's first NCAA tournament appearance since 2007, the Siena men's golf team sits in 14th place in the Marana, Arizona regional after round one. The Saints are one stroke behind North Carolina, the 25th ranked team in the country.

Michael Shine led the scoring for Siena as the senior shot two-over 74. His round featured four birdies. Scott Kim was one shot behind Shine with a three-over 75. Freshman Jack Bellardini carded an opening round score of four-over 76, while Tanner Donovan and Michael Christifulli closed out the scoring for the Saints.

Stanford ends round one of the regional with the clubhouse lead. The number one team in the country shot a staggering team score of -14. The Cardinal hold a nine shot advantage over second place UAB. Oregon, Wake Forest and Cal close out the top five team scores following day one.

Round two of the regional will begin Tuesday at 10 a.m. ET.
