Sept. 1, 2016 Final Stats
Four goals in the second half help Siena secure their first victory of the season 4-2 over Colgate. Four different Saints scored in the victory. Siena has now won the past two games against the Raiders.
The first half was controlled by Colgate, but the Saints kept the game close. The Raiders scored in the 17' to take a 1-0 lead. They would hold this lead going into halftime.
Right out of the gate in the second half Siena struck back. In the 39' Aubrie Bleier scored off an assist from Ashley Dona. Danielle DeGroot put the Saints up 2-1 in the 40' with her goal.
Siena remained in control in the second half as Fariyah Omarshah recorded a goal to give the Saints a 3-1 lead off an assist by DeGroot. Colgate struck back and scored to cut the lead 3-2, but that was not the end for Siena. Dona came back and scored in the 67' for the Saints.
Siena continues their road games on Saturday, September 10 when they travel to Lock Haven, Pennsylvania. The Saints matchup against Lock Haven at 1 p.m.
