Siena lost a road contest 13-0 at Rutgers on Sunday. Freshman goalkeeper Mary Crumlish had 12 saves and classmate Lauren DeLor added four more in her first action for the Saints.
Forward Rachel Yaney led Rutgers (5-2) with three goals on four shots. The Scarlet Knights scored five goals in just over six minutes early in the second half on their way to victory.
Senior forward Ashley Dona had two shots in the game for Siena (1-5) to bring her total to 16 on the year. Fariyah Omarshah and Molly Hagen added one shot each.
The Saints look to bounce back when they head to Vermont next Friday, September 23 at 3 p.m.
