Final Stats

LATHAM, NY - Siena Women's Tennis turned around and swept Holy Cross for back-to-back sweeps. The Saints last lost to Holy Cross in the 2013-14 season.

Just like the day before, Siena started off quickly with the doubles point after winning on all three courts. Ali Garrity & Mitsuki Fukamachi and Anessa Leyva & Juliana Goehner defeated Holy Cross 6-1 on their respective courts of one and three. Ivana Boberic and Natalie Weaver picked up a 6-3 win on court two. With the doubles point, Siena led 1-0 heading into singles play.

Rina Sakai swept Katie Elia 6-0, 6-0 in the number two position. Julia Dunbar also swept Caroline Kam on court five 6-0, 6-0 for two quick Siena victories. Weaver was able to take down Isabela Bagi 6-1, 6-0, while Juliana Goehner defeated Morgan McGuire 6-0, 6-1 for a 5-0 Siena lead. Boberic jumped into the number one position and took down Allison Reling 6-0, 2-6, 10-7 for the additional Saint point. Ann Phillips came in on court six and took down Jennifer Kary 6-2, 4-6, 10-5 to complete the Siena sweep.

Siena will head to Cleveland, Ohio for a three-match road trip. They will face Akron (Sept. 23), Cleveland State (Sept. 24) and Youngstown State (Sept. 25). All three matches are set to start at 9 a.m.
