Siena dropped a 5-2 contest in Vermont on Friday. Sophomore forward Fariyah Omarshah and senior midfielder Fabiana Citro scored for the Saints. Freshman goalkeeper Mary Crumlish had 15 saves for Siena.
The Catamounts (6-3) scored first in the 27th minute on a goal by Carla Godsman. Vermont added two more goals in the half, with the score by Izzy Sericolo coming with just one second left on the clock.
Siena (1-6) started the scoring in the second half. Omarshah's fourth goal of the year pulled the Saints within two in the 43rd minute and Citro scored her second goal of the season in the 55th minute. Ashley Dona and Molly Hagen each added two shots on goal for the Saints.
The Saints will be back in action to take on Lehigh at noon on Sunday, October 2nd in the final non-conference game of the season.
