Siena Soccer scored twice in the final 4:58 capped by the golden goal by freshman Matt Crisafulli just 80 seconds into overtime as the Saints rallied late to stun George Mason 2-1 in Fairfax, Virginia. Sophomore captain J.C. Obregon netted the game-tying goal with just 3:38 remaining in regulation as Siena ended the non-conference portion of its schedule on a high note.

Siena (2-5-2) controlled play holding a 17-8 advantage in shots and an 8-1 margin in corners, but still trailed entering the waning moments. Daniel Hoffman had initially staked George Mason (2-5-1) to a 1-0 lead in the 40th minute.

But the Saints battled back and finally broke through when Obregon finished his first of the season in the 87th minute. Senior striker Junior Rosero – who assisted on both of Siena's late scores – had his shot blocked, but it deflected to Obregon who scored to draw the Saints even.

And Siena would waste no time in overtime, scoring the decisive tally on the first chance for either team in the extra session. Freshman back Eamonn Conway fed Rosero who sent in Crisafulli on a breakaway as the freshman would finish his third goal of the season to send the Saints to the dramatic victory.

Junior goalkeeper Aleksa Radosavljevic made three saves for Siena, while Tomas Lapnas stopped six shots for the Patriots.

The Saints kick off the program's 28th MAAC season when they host Fairfield in the conference opener Wednesday at Siena Turf Field at 3 p.m.
