Day One Results / Standings

Siena Swimming began its trek for the ECAC title Friday night in East Meadow, New York. The Saints are currently in sixth place after the first of three days of competition. Day one consisted of one diving and three swimming events. There are a total of 17 schools competing in the women's meet.

Siena opened the contest with a 13th,15th, 16th, and 18th place finishes in the 1650 yd freestyle. Junior Emma Rupert came in 13th place for the Saints (17:45.32), followed by freshman Sydney Lautenslager in 15th (17:59.06), then sophomore Carrie Bonvissuto in 16th (18:03.14), and finally junior Julianna Sebastian in 18th (18:08.95). Picking up 44 points in the first event.

In the 800 freestyle relay Saints finished in 7th with a team made up of sophomore Katelyn Ludwicki, junior Elizabeth Fournier, sophomore Rachel Brown, and Bonvissuto with a time of 7:57.60 snatching 46 more points.

In the final event of the first night, the 200 yd medley relay, Siena took 11th with the team being made up of senior Fiona Dretzka, freshman Kylie George, Fournier, and junior Francesca Tinucci with a time of 1:51.52.

Saints finish the first day with 122 points.

Wagner College leads the women's competition with 263 total points through four events.

The ECAC Championships continue on Saturday and Sunday, December 2 and 3, with the first event scheduled for 10 a.m. both days in East Meadow.
