Final Stats

In a tough matchup with Saint Joseph's (PA), the Siena Women's Tennis team took the victory 5-2. The Saints are undefeated at 13-0, which is the best start in any program at Siena since men's basketball went 14-0 in 1949-50.

"I give the girls a lot of credit today it was very cold outside but they battled the elements and pulled out a win against a good Saint Joseph's tennis team," said head coach Jeff Osborn. "They are proud of the streak they have created and come ready to play no matter what."

In doubles, Siena took all three courts to take a 1-0 lead. In singles they had a battle with a lot of close matches but was clinched by Mitsuki Fukamachi on court three with a 6-2, 6-4 win. Another strong performance by Natalie Weaver at four with a 6-2, 6-2 win. Ivana Boberic kept her undefeated streak alive at two singles this spring with a close 7-5, 6-4 win. SophomoreAnessa Leyva came back after losing the first set 6-1 won the next two 6-1, 6-3 to take the match.

Up next for the Saints is MAAC foe Marist on Saturday, Apr. 1. The Saints fell to the Red Foxes twice last season.
