Ten things to know about the matchup:
  • Looking to avoid its first 0-4 start since the 2015-16 season, Siena travels to Washington, D.C. for its furthest road trip of the season, finishing a home-and-home with the Bison of Howard.
  • Siena won the only head-to-head matchup between the two schools last season, a 72-61 decision at the Times-Union Center in Albany on Nov. 25, 2017. The win featured saw three current Saints, Sabrina Piper (17), Maddie Sims (16), and Aaliyah Jones (12) put up double-figure scoring.
  • Howard is one of six non-conference foes that the Saints face as a returning opponent from last season.
  • Siena is 3-2 all-time against MEAC opponents in program history, having played four schools in the league (Howard, Coppin St., Morgan St., NC A&T)
  • Redshirt-senior Joella Gibson (8-8) & freshman Margo Peterson (3-3) have not missed from the free throw line this season. Gibson stands a one of 68 players nationally who hold a perfect free throw completion percentage (min. 2.5 att per-game).
  • Compiling a game and season-high four assists in Friday's loss to Harvard, senior Deja Rawls moved into sole possession of 23rd place all-time in career assists (244). Rawls needs six more helps to tie Linda Ryan (250, 1982-85) for 22nd.
  • Sophomore Marilena Gerostergiou career highs in points (7), assists (1), field goal attempts (8), three-point attempts (2), free throws made (3), free throw attempts (4) and steals (3) in Friday's game against Harvard. The Greece native totaled two steals in 22 appearances all of last season.
  • Head coach Ali Jaques and assistant coach Jessica Simmonds both have career ties to the nation's capital, with Jaques serving on the George Washington coaching staff from 2006-08 and Simmonds finishing her playing career as a Colonial from 2003-06.
  • The Saints are coming off back-to-back double-digit losses for the first time since Dec. 3-9, 2016, when they dropped three straight by a margin of 10 points or greater.
  • Siena is competing in its 45th season in program history and 36th at the NCAA Division I level in 2018-19.
