Senior
Julianna Sebastian highlighted another record-filled day of competition for Siena Swimming Sunday, as the team concluded its performance at the 2018 ECAC Winter Championships in East Meadow, NY. The Getzville, NY native placed fifth in the 200-yard butterfly, swimming a career-best 2:06.98 for the Saints' best individual finish at the meet and coming just 47 hundredths of a second away from the program record in the event.
Eight different Siena swimmers recorded a best-time in the meet's fourth session, allowing the team to move up a spot in the final day and finish in eighth place out of 17 teams with 433 points, improving from an 11
th place mark in 2017.
The 200 fly and 100-yard freestyle each featured three Saints accomplishing best times in their respective events. Freshman
Abigail Sheridan (2:13.54) and sophomore
Sydney Lautenslager (2:20.36) both joined Sebastian in posting career marks in the long-course butterfly race, placing 18th and 34th, respectively. Additionally, Junior

Elizabeth Fournier (54.56) and sophomore
Shannon Leary (57.84) took home new personal best in the 100 free.
Freshmen
Isabel Harms and
Sarah Duggan completed the team's rookie trifecta in recording a best time, with Harms breaking her 200-yard backstroke mark (2:08.14) and Duggan doing so in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:34.81).
Siena also entered a pair of teams in the 400-yard freestyle relay, finishing in 11th and 15th, respectively.
Overall, MAAC foe Fairfield took home the 2018 ECAC Women's Championship with 1,825 points, while 2018 opponent Wagner finished as the runner-up. Conference rival Monmouth (440 points) took seventh, while Manhattan placed 13th (130.5 points).
Following the meet's conclusion, Siena will now enter a hiatus in action before returning to the pool on Jan. 12, 2019 to swim Saint Francis (PA) on the road.
