Siena fell 6-1 to UConn at East Hartford Tennis Center on Saturday evening. Siena won on one doubles court and one singles court in the match.

" I give the guys credit we are coping with a lot of injuries and sickness but they went out and played hard today" said head coach Jeff Osborn.

On court one, Alessandro Saglia and Guillermo Lopez Torres took the victory 6-4. However, the Huskies took the victories on two and three to takes the doubles point and lead the match 1-0 heading into singles play.

In singles play, freshman Muhammad Raza Sawani played well at singles three and won 6-1, 7-6 (2) to take the only point for the Saints. On court one, Torres battled and brought the first set to a tiebreaker but dropped in straight sets.

Siena will host Colgate on Friday, February 9 at 5 p.m. at TriCity in Latham, New York.
