Final Stats

Siena Women's Tennis fell 6-1 on Friday evening to Hofstra at TriCity in Latham, New York. The Saints honored seniors Ivana Boberic, Julia Dunbar and Rina Sakai before the match.

Siena started off strong taking all three doubles courts to lead 1-0. Dunbar and Sakai came out quickly with a 6-3 win at doubles three. It came down to doubles one and two who both went into a tiebreaker, but Anessa Leyva and Ann Phillips pulled out a 7-6 (3) win at doubles one to clinch the doubles point.

The Pride took all six singles courts to take the win 6-1. Sakai at singles two battled back after falling 6-3 in the first set and forced a tiebreaker, but she would eventually fall 13-11. Leyva at singles four also came back and forced a tiebreaker. Levya would go down 10-7.

Siena will return to the court when they travel to Niagara University, New York as they take on the Purple Eagles on March 17 at 4 p.m.
