Final Stats

Siena made a comeback to beat St. Peter's 4-3 in Jersey City Sunday morning. The Saints improved to 2-1 in league play.

In Singles St Peters took the first three points to take a 3-1 lead before Siena staged their comeback. After losing courts 3 through 5 Matt Bellino won court 6 in straight sets to make match 3-2 followed by Sagar Bains who won in a tight 3 set match on court 2 to set the stage for winner take all on court 1. Freshman Guillermo Lopez Torres won the first but dropped the second set to force a 3rd set where he was able to secure the match clinching victory with a 6-3 3rd set.

" The conditions were less than ideal with winds and very cold so I was impressed that our guys were able to stay mentally focused and stay sharp to get the job done today against a very good St. Peter's team," said head coach Jeff Osborn.

Siena will take on Quinnipiac on Friday, April 13 at TriCity in Latham, New York.
