The Siena Women's Tennis team began their second weekend of competition strong, as they put together a day with five doubles victories, including a B Draw Championship from
Juliana Goehner and
Nanea Perkins to kick off the Hofstra Pride Invitational.
Goehner and Perkins turned in three victories on the day, cruising through the B Draw bracket. They would eventually take the championship, defeating Patricia Eftenoiu and Aleksandra Vorozheikina of Farleigh Dickinson 7-6 (4) in a tiebreaker.
Also putting up a pair of wins before falling in the A Draw Championship was freshman
Dilara Spicer and Megan Brown. They would grab wins in their opening match and semifinals before falling to Katherine Kachkarov and Alejandra Ruffini of Hofstra 7-5 in the final.

The other set in play for Siena was Anne Phillips and
Anessa Leyva, who dropped both of their matches on the day to Liza Rachenko and Smitri Singh of Farleigh Dickinson 6-4, and Michal Kaplan and Hailey Feuer of Hofstra 6-3
The Saints return to the court tomorrow, Saturday, September 30 when they compete in Day 2 of the Hofstra Invitational. The second day of competition will consist of singles play, with multiple Saints in action.
