Siena (1-1) returns to the Capital Region for its final home game in a 39-day span, prior to returning to the Times Union Center on Dec. 21 against Bucknell. The Saints will be looking to exact revenge against a St. Bonaventure (0-2) squad which claimed its third straight Franciscan Cup with an 82-40 victory last season in Olean.

The Bonnies lead the all-time series 31-9, and have won six of the first nine official Franciscan Cup matchups since the trophy was devised by the schools' Presidents to commemorate the annual renewal of the rivalry which was rekindled in 2010. The program's have alternated three-game Franciscan Cup winning streaks, with St. Bonaventure having won the past three. Six of the nine Franciscan Cup matchups have been decided by single digits, including four by three points or less.

The Bonnies were projected to finish fifth in the 14-team Atlantic 10, after posting an 18-16 overall record last season including a 12-6 league mark while advancing to the conference championship game. St. Bonaventure is led by sophomores Kyle Lofton (Second Team) and Osun Osunniyi (Third Team, All-Defensive Team) who racked up preseason All-Atlantic 10 honors.
