Ten things you need to know in Siena's game vs. Harvard:
  • Siena is 2-5 overall against the Crimson and have fallen in the last three matchups each of the last three years.
  • 2019-20 is the second season in a row that Siena has played consecutive non-conference games against opponents from the same conference. In 2018-19, Siena faced St. Bonaventure and UMass from the A-10 in consecutive games. This season, the Green and Gold faced Penn on Saturday, and will face Harvard from the Ivy League in consecutive games.
  • All time against the Ivy League, Siena stands at 19-15 overall. The only two Ivy League schools that Siena has a losing record against is Penn and Harvard.
  • Freshman Julia Hauer sank 11 points in her collegiate debut last Tuesday versus Binghamton. Her total was the most points in a collegiate debut since Margot Hetzke scored 29 against Buffalo on Nov. 14, 2014 in a 58-50 Siena win.
  • Junior Marilena Gerostergiou set a career-high in points with 12 at Penn on Saturday. The other major career-high came from junior DeAnna Winston, who snagged four rebounds.
  • Head Coach Ali Jaques won her 100th game as a head coach last season on Feb. 16, 2019 in a 67-61 win over Niagara. All of her wins have come at Siena.
  • The Saints wait to open at the Alumni Recreation Center in just a few days, as they will face Sacred Heart in the ARC on Nov. 16 at 7 PM
  • Siena will play only three home non-conference home games in a nine game slate before MAAC play. The Green and Gold will face Sacred Heart (Nov. 16) and UAlbany (Dec. 7) in the ARC.
  • After back-to-back years of being picked to finish third on the MAAC, the Saints fell this season as they were picked to finish 10th of 11 teams in the MAAC Preseason Coaches Poll. They would chorale 33 points in the poll.
  • Six of Siena's nine non-conference games are return matches of a year ago. Repeat opponents are Penn, Harvard, Sacred Heart, Florida Atlantic, Colgate, and UMass. Among those six teams, the Saints went 2-4 in 2018-19 against those teams, defeating Colgate and UMass. Both of those victories came in Loudonville in the ARC.
  • Siena currently has six players hail outside the United States, the most ever in program history. The six are the most on a roster since the Green and Gold had four in 2002-03.
