Ten things to know for Thursday's game versus the Stags:
- The Saints are hoping to feel the love on Valentine's Day this season in their first action on the holiday since 2016. The team is 5-3 overall on Feb. 14 and will be at home for the first time since losing an 85-69 decision to the Stags in 1998.
- The Green and Gold participated in their third overtime contest of the season Saturday afternoon, falling to Monmouth, 56-54. Junior Maddie Sims tallied her sixth double-double of the year in the affair, racking up 13 points and tying a career-best with 13 boards. Redshirt-seniors Joella Gibson and Aaliyah Jones also went into double figures with 10 points each.
- Following last Thursday's win over Iona, Head Coach Ali Jaques moved within one victory of becoming the third Siena head coach in program history to reach 100 wins at the school. Currently in her seventh year at the helm, Jaques holds a 99-115 all-time record.
- Siena has accumulated a 292-217 (.574) record in MAAC play all-time, including a 62-67 (.484) outcome under head coach Ali Jaques.
- Adding three assists to her total on Saturday, senior Deja Rawls sits in 13th place all-time in the category with 300. Rawls needs 22 more helps to tie Siena Athletics Hall of Famer Gunta Basko (1999-03, 322) for 12th.
- Maddie Sims is now 10th all-time in program history in blocks with 85. The junior needs two swats to tie Bronwyn Tobin (87, 1996-00) for ninth place.
- Maddie Sims currently leads all players in the MAAC in double-doubles, with six so far this season, including four in conference play.
- Having split the season series in each of the last two years, Siena holds a 31-42 all-time record against Fairfield. The Saints fell to the Stags on the road in the first meeting of the season between the two, narrowly missing what would have been a 14-point comeback with a 59-55 loss on Jan. 29.
- The team went 12-15 (80 %) from the floor in the fourth quarter of a win over Iona on Feb. 7, giving them statistically their best period this season and their most efficient quarter since shooting 88.9 percent (8-9) in the second stanza of a loss against Quinnipiac on Feb. 11, 2018.
- Siena connected on 12 threes in a losing effort to Fairfield on Jan. 29, marking the first time since Dec. 6, 2016 that they compiled double-digit triples in a contest and the most overall in a tilt since Mar. 6, 2014.
