The Siena men's and women's track and field team finished their weekend at the Bison Outdoor Invitational with a bang, as they set multiple personal records, including senior
Sarah Forman who set a new school record in the women's 800m run.
Forman's performance took home the top Green and Gold showing of the day, as she finished the 800m in a time of 2:13.05. That time would be good enough for a 12
th overall finish in the event, as well as be a qualifying time for the ECAC's.
Morgan Serkes,
Monica Strain, and
Julia Bryant also ran in the 800m and each set personal records as well. Strain put up a time of 2:18.83, Serkes a time of 2:19.13, and Bryant a time of 2:23.87 to each go into the record sheet. Rounding out the women's events was
Anya Schmitt running a 5:28.45 in the women's mile run, and freshman
Olivia Lomascolo with a sixth place finish with a time of 10:23.63 in the women's 3,000m run.
Mary McNally and
Meghan McDonough also finished strong in the 3,000m run finishing back-to-back in 25
th and 26
th.
Ryan Holland finished 46
th as the lone competitor in the men's 800m run with a time of 1:54.91. Matthew Jacques was the top finishing Saint in the men's mile run, coming in with a time of 4:26.48 which would be good enough for a sixth place finish. Rounding out the men's action was a seventh place finish by
Michael Carroll in the men's 3,000m run with a time of 9:01.87.
The Saints will return to action Friday, April 19 when they return to Princeton University to partake in the Larry Ellis Invitational. Only qualifiers for events will be eligible for seeding.
