BETHLEHEM, PA – Graduate student Jackson Cayward played leader of the pack in running the top Saints' time at 25:19 in the 52^nd running of the Paul Short Run in the Men's 8K Gold Race as Siena beat out 10 other schools and tied another in on Friday at the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course hosted by Lehigh University.

Only four races finished while heat canceled the other remaining races for the day including the Women's Brown 6K in which many Siena women runners were expected to run.

Temperatures soared into the 80s with humidity sitting around 60 percent for rough running conditions as run organizers erred on the side of caution for health and safety concerns.

Senior and Niskayuna, NY native Olivia Armenia had the top Saints' time in the Women's Open 6K at 24:20.4.

Sophomore and Pine Plains, NY native Max Decker was the leader for the Men's Open 8K at 26:46.1.
