The Siena Saints wrapped up their regular season on Saturday afternoon, as the Green and Gold had a strong showing across town at the Capital District Classic, hosted by RPI in Troy, NY.
Senior
Abbi Wright had the top Saints finish in the women's 1,500m run with a time of 4:52.53, which put her in a sixth place finish. Freshman Mia Forester finished fifth in the women's 5,000m run with a time of 19:52.08, finishing just ahead of sixth by just over a second.
Monica Strain put up the best time in the women's 800m run with a time of 2:24.85, which would give her a sixth place finish in the event. Freshman
Julia Bryant finished with the top time in the women's 400m dash, as she scored a seventh place finish with a time of 1:03.14.
On the men's side, senior
Jack O'Hara had the top finish in the 3,000m men's steeplechase, finishing first in the event with a time of 9:43.86, beating out the second place finisher by five seconds. The combo of
Andrew Canavan and
Michael Stoker finished 1-2 in the men's 5,000m run with times of 15:27.23 and 15:33.55, while
Owen Walker also finished top five in the event finishing fifth. Matthew Jacques finished in sixth in the men's 800m with a time of 2:00.62.
Jacob Greski had the top finish in the men's 1,500m with a time of 4:14.09 which was good enough for a 12
th place finish.
The Saints return to action next Saturday, May 4 for the first day of the MAAC Championships. The meet will be held in West Long Branch, NJ and hosted by Monmouth University.
