Siena Women's Golf senior
Sara Riso shot even, 72 at the second round of the Sacred Heart Spring Invitational Monday to hold on to her top spot and earn individual medalist honors. The finish, coupled with two other Saints concluding play inside the top-10, allowed the team to finish second overall with +60, 636, for their second top-3 and fifth top-10 result of the year.
The Saints were beat out by the Pioneers on the second round of action, who rallied for the low team round of the tournament, a +8, 296, to earn the team title. Siena beat out MAAC foes Fairfield (+97, 673) and Monmouth (+112, 688), who landed in third and sixth, respectively.
The co-captain edged out host Sacred Heart's Hana Bowman by a stroke to take home her second top finish of the 2018-19 season and the third of her career, moving her into a tie for the third-most wins among individuals in program history. The Hamburg, New York native's 36-hole mark of +2, 146 also giver her four of the top-5 two-round low scores in program history and is good for fifth overall.
