Softball Finalizes 2021 Signing Class

Head Coach Casey Bump Announced the Addition of Five Incoming Saints

LOUDONVILLE, NY – As part of her first season at the helm of Siena Softball, Head Coach Casey Bump announced the signing of five future student athletes as part of the team's incoming class of 2021. Alissa Eimont, Ashley Giampolo, Kyleigh Potter, Adriana Romano, and Emmalynn Skaff will join the Saints beginning next season.

Alissa Eimont | Right-Handed Pitcher | Aberdeen, New Jersey | Matawan Regional HS

A 5-6 right-handed pitcher, Eimont earned All-State and First Team All-Shore (2019) honors while playing at Matawan Regional High School. She also played club softball for the Nightmare Fastpitch Club, and most recently played on the 18U Nightmare Gold squad.

Coach Bump on Alissa Eimont: "Alissa is a great pitcher that will add to the depth of our pitching staff as well as our batting line-up. She is very athletic and smart with identifying hitters. We are very excited to add Alissa to our already great pitching staff."

Ashley Giampolo | Infielder | East Windsor, New Jersey | Notre Dame HS

Standing at 5-5, Giampolo starred in the infield for Notre Dame High School and played alongside Eimont on the Nightmare Gold Cub team. Her older sister, Angela, is a senior on the softball team at Villanova.

Coach Bump on Ashley Giampolo: "Ashley is a smart, smooth fielding middle infielder with great hands, a strong arm and a quick release.  She has a high softball IQ and moves easily between shortstop and second base, but really has the athleticism to play anywhere. Offensively, she has a strong, compact swing that allows her to identify pitches and drive the ball to all areas of the field. Ashley is a great addition to our program."

Kyleigh Potter | Outfielder | Queen Creek, Arizona | Poston Butte HS

A versatile 5-8 outfielder, Potter batted .357 during her first three years at Poston Butte High school and took home All-Region Honorable Mention honors in 2018 & 2019. She has played club softball for the Oro Valley SunCats 18U squad.

Coach Bump on Kyleigh Potter: "Kyleigh is a very quick outfielder who brings speed and power to our program.  Not only does she cover a lot of ground in the outfield, she has the type of arm that can slow down an opponent's running game. She brings power to the plate that can change the momentum of a game with one swing. We are looking forward to Kyleigh becoming a Saint."

Adriana Romano | Right-Handed Pitcher | Barnegat, New Jersey | Donovan Catholic HS

A 5-7 right-handed arm, Romano took home Shore Conference All-Star (B-South) honors in 2019 and was named to the Press of Atlantic City's 2018 First Team as a pitcher. A five-time Athlete of the Week honoree, she also plays club softball for the New Jersey Gators 18U Gold squad, who finished ninth at the 2019 Triple Crown 18U USA National and was ranked number 53 nationally in the 2019 U.S. Club Softball National Rankings.

Coach Bump on Adriana Romano: "Adriana is a fantastic pitcher that brings a lot of speed. We loved everything we saw from Adriana, especially the command she has on both the inside and outside of the plate. Her enthusiasm and energy will be great to have on our team."

Emmalynn Skaff | Catcher | Chandler, Arizona | Hamilton HS

A 5-6 catcher from the Grand Canyon State, Skaff was named a Triple Impact Scholar by the Positive Coaching Alliance while in high school. She joined Potter in playing club softball for the Oro Valley SunCats.

Coach Bump on Emmalynn Skaff: "Emmalynn is a very athletic catcher with a strong arm and the skills and versatility that will allow her to contribute all over the field. She has a great swing and can hit for power. Put that together and she will have the opportunity to be an impact player both offensively and defensively. We are very excited to have Emmalynn join the program."

Siena will look to build on an abbreviated 3-10 campaign in 2020 and is expected to return seven starters and 16 total letter winners from last season.
