The Siena Women's Tennis team representatives in senior

Maanya Viswanath, and sophomore
Emma Boggiali each showed out with strong performances in Day 1 of the ITA Northeast Regionals held at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center in West Point.
To open the day, the Saints participated in doubles play. Boggiali paired with Viswanath, while Brown and Giralt matched up. Boggiali and Viswanath would win two straight matches, first by an 8-6 final. In the second round, the duo would defeat seeded opponents Ada Boru and Leanne Kendall from Bryant 8-4 to move onto third round action on Saturday. Brown and Giralt would receive a first round bye before falling 8-5 in the second round.
In singles play, Giralt would shine as she would stay alive to see Saturday with a 10-8 victory in a breaker in the 3
rd. Viswanath (6-0, 6-4) and Boggiali (6-2, 6-2) both fell in their singles matchups, while Brown withdrew from hers.
Giralt will continue her run in the singles bracket starting at 9 a.m. tomorrow, while Boggiali and Viswanath will resume play on Sunday in doubles play.
